Inspired in part by a friend of mine who's name is Paloma. Paloma also means 'dove' in Spanish. The painting came about as a fusion of my friend's love of the beach and water that many of us share in Miami, the 'paloma' (dove) that is a symbol of peace, not so much peace as it pertains to world harmony, but in this case the peace that comes from being on a quiet beach sitting next to the ocean, and also the many times the girls on Miami Beach appear as goddesses coming out of the ocean.
