A self-portrait of the young artist, feeling a bit flushed and staring back at us, this collage of paper and acrylic on canvas is one of the best examples of the artist's diverse style. The angel-like wings have been interpreted as the wings of the barfly, but the winged pattern above other images tell us that the artist is following her tendency to refer to the spiritual aspect of people. Like an aura, the wings of our lesser angels are ready to take flight, if only we knew we possed them.
