With a respectful salute to Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night, Mr. Bowman shows us his impression of the Barnes Foundation campus in Merion, Pennsylvania. In this, the first panel of a tryptic, Bowman contrasts a bright blue night sky, with the moon and stars, against a blooming cherry tree, representing the Barnes Arboretum, and the warm glow of the main gallery building.
