Pride
Title: Pride
Artist: Alan Kindler
Original: chalk pastels on
Mi-Tientes paper 2004 $900.00
He played football in college
and now he owns a car dealership. He does his own commercials and knows no
shame. His wife is fragile, but she is pitch-perfect socially. The boy is a
chip off the old crock. He likes to knock down the other kids. They can't put
jewelry on the little girl yet because she is only three and would likely eat
her earrings. This proud family resides in a gated community where all the
lawns are as slick and perfect as golf greens. Using four distinctive drinking
vessels to represent the newly moneyed, Mr. Kindler suggests we value
substance over appearances.
